ASTM International is a recognized global leader in the creation and distribution of voluntary consensus standards. Today, more than 12,000 ASTM standards are utilized globally to improve product quality, promote health and safety, expand market access and trade, and increase customer confidence.

In addition to developing standards, ASTM’s subsidiary, the Safety Equipment Institute, offers certification, declaration, technical training programs, and competence testing. NORME DI PROVA ISO
ISO is an autonomous, non-governmental international organization with 167 national standards bodies as members.
Through its members, it facilitates the sharing of expertise and the development of voluntary, consensus-based, market-relevant International Standards that support innovation and offer solutions to global challenges.
ISO Central Office is located in Geneva, Switzerland.
In addition to guiding thousands of documents through the drafting, review, voting, and publication processes, ISO also provides a variety of services that support its strategic objectives.
ISO also works to increase public understanding of standards and standardization. ISO collaborates with other organizations, such as the IEC and ITU, to create World Standards Day each year. The day is observed by standards organizations across the globe and focuses on how standards address the challenges facing society today. Through its consumer committee, ISO also engages the broader public in standards development (COPOLCO).
ISO promotes the teaching of standardization by directly participating in a joint masters program, assisting its members in establishing similar programs, and maintaining a database of resources pertaining to standards in education at all levels.
In addition to promoting awareness, ISO provides training for its members and serve as a resource for standards-related research.
AATCC TEST STANDARDS
The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists collaborates with other industry associations to offer members with the most up-to-date knowledge, user-friendly tools, and pertinent services.
Committee D13 of ASTM International creates test techniques and requirements for textile materials. Colorfastness, wet testing, and chemical characteristics are the primary emphasis of AATCC methodologies and procedures. ASTM tests analyze textiles’ physical characteristics.
AATCC and ASTM have collaborated on a number of publications.
